The recently launched 10.1-inch Google Nexus is uniquely designed with incorporated more advanced hardware and software. It is priced based on the storage capacities with a 16GB one going at $399 and $499 for the 32 GB Nexus 10. Generally, Google did a great job in almost all aspects of the tabloid; the design, apps, features, battery life, memory, name them.

The Design and Form of Nexus 10

As much as many people purchase mobile devices based on their features, their designs are also considered. The Nexus 10’s design closely resembles that of Samsung tab. Generally, it looks like a utility product mainly because of the plastic like finish unlike other tablets that are sleeker with metallic finishing. It is also favorably priced compared to other established players in the industry like the iPad.

You are assured of a firm grip of the Nexus, courtesy of the rubber-like casing that also cover up the gadget perfectly. It is also lighter-weighs only 1.3 lb and is only 0.35 inches thick. the display of the Nexus is one of the most adorable features as the 2560 x 16000 pixels gives the 10.1 inch screen with the 300PPI one of the highest resolution ever for a tablet of its nature, in fact, it is much better than the iPad’s 264PPI and 2048 x 1536 resolution.

The screen is protected by the Gorilla Glass 2 which keeps scratches at bay, but this doesn’t compromise the touch sensitivity of the Nexus 10. The screen is more suited for individuals who love watching movies and other videos. The audio experience is augmented with the stereo speakers that are mounted in the front. The Micro-USB port as well as the headphone jacks is found on the left hand side while the volume and power buttons are on the top left corner of the Nexus 10. You can charge the gadget using an encompassed magnetic port.

The Processor

The Nexus 10 is powered by a 1.7GHz (Samsung Exynos 5250) dual-core processor and a 2 GB RAM as well as a 4.2 Android operating system. This means that it is relatively fast and if you like downloading stuff from the web, you definitely save a lot of time. Navigation is also much easier and fast, and you can multitask as you wish without fearing for any laggings in performance. For an utmost browsing experience, use the integrated Chrome browser.

The 900mAh battery that the Nexus is backed by is powerful, allowing for up to 9hrs of uninterrupted video streaming, 7 hours of browsing and 500hrs of standby. The main drawback however is the storage which is only 28GB of storage space for the 32 GB device. The device lacks an SD card slot, making it impossible to expand the memory-this was a huge mistake.

Other Features

Just like most tablets, Google’s Nexus 10 has dual cameras; a powerful 5 megapixel HD and a 1.9 megapixel front-mounted camera for video chats. It is as well powered with the NFC and Wi-Fi connectivity.

The powerful battery, optimized performance, great cameras and very useful software, sleek design are only but some of the attributes that make Google’s Nexus 10 worth checking out. If you would however prefer to expand the memory, please look elsewhere.
